Giving Back

Our mission is workplace safety but that doesn’t mean we don’t give back! Here’s a few of the ways the PCSC gives back to the local community at large.

  1. Monthly Hot Food Donations: We donate all leftover catering from our monthly luncheons to the Center of Hope in Ravenna who provides hot meals 5 days a week for up to 100 people.
  2. Annual Holiday Food Drives: We host 2 food drives every November & December to help those in need in Portage County! The November food drive benefits the Center of Hope in Ravenna, OH, and the December food rives benefits the Kent Social Services food pantry in Kent, OH.
  3. Community Spotlight Podcasts: In order to help get the word out about key community programs and resources, we’ve created “Community Spotlight” episodes of our weekly podcast. From Miller Community House to Leadership Portage County, each episode provides a more intimate knowledge of each highlight program. What a great way to give back!
  4. Book Giveaway: At December 2019 safety luncheon, the first 50 attendees who donated one or more non-perishable food items to Kent Social Services received a free copy of the book Bridges Out of Poverty! As you can see below, the books were a big hit!
