Renee Onesti has served on the Portage County Safety Council Steering Committee since 2009. During that time, she has been instrumental in most of our annual safety programming, helping us to win or be nominated for several awards at the state and county levels. Renee also played a key role in the 2014, 2016 and 2018 Portage County Workplace Safety & Health Expos where she helped plan, organize and operate the award-winning event. She served two years as the Steering Committee Chair helping to take the Safety Council to a new level. In 2024, Renee won the first ever Safety Champion Award for her work that reaches beyond the Portage County Safety Council and Kent Elastomer Products. Without her continuous support and commitment, the Portage County Safety Council would not be where it is today.
