What did you enjoy the most about serving at the Portage County Safety Council?
“I enjoyed serving with the different teams of committee members down through the years and getting to know them on a professional and personal level as well as with our awesome members. We do have one of the best, IF NOT THE BEST, safety councils in the state.”
What accomplishments are you most proud of during your time serving at the Portage County Safety Council?
“There are many accomplishments that I am proud of, but the best one was getting involved with the safety council. Honestly, I was nervous when I was asked if I would be interested in serving on the steering committee. I didn’t think I had much to offer, but I was encouraged to do it and I am so glad I did. I have learned a wealth of knowledge from our members and our speakers. We have great topics every month, something for everyone. What I have taken in these last 10 years has helped me grow in my business and to incorporate what I have learned into my every day life. Benjamin Franklin once said, “An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” Being a part of our local safety council has been one of the best investments I have ever made.”
