April 25, 2024 – NARCAN Training

In partnership with Project DAWN and the Portage County Combined Health District, we’re hosting a free NARCAN Training on Thursday, April 25th, 10AM-11:30AM!

  • PRICE: Free but registration is required by Friday, April 19th.
  • CREDITS:  Qualifies for up to one rebate attendance credit (same as a monthly meeting).
  • DATE:  Thursday, April 25, 2024.
  • TIME:  10:00AM-11:30AM
  • LOCATION:Portage County Combined Health District, 999 East Main Street • Ravenna, Ohio 4426.
  • LUNCH:  Pizza will be provided after the training courtesy of our Safety Education Fund (money raised in our monthly 50/50).
  • CAPACITY:  Seating is limited on a first come, first served basis. PCSC members will have priority.

June 16, 2017 – Narcan In The Workplace

The PCSC is excited to be partnering with the Portage County Health District to offer a free Narcan In The Workplace training on Friday, June 16, 2017, 2pm-3:30pm, at Family & Community Services in Ravenna.

This training will:

  1. Explain the current heroin/opioid epidemic occurring in Portage County.
  2. Describe the key components for Ohio’s Overdose Education and Naloxone Distribution Program; Project DAWN.
  3. Explain why this epidemic is a public health problem that affects all of us.
