We’re excited to welcome Brenna Erjavec, Senior Manager of Safety & Security at Akron Zoo, for an engaging presentation on what it really takes to build a strong safety culture in an environment where every day brings unique challenges.

🐾 The Wild Side of Safety will explore practical strategies such as:

🔹 Two person lock and key systems
🔹 Spotters for high risk tasks
🔹 Leadership practices that make safety everyone’s priority

There are few tougher groups to keep safe than people! Brenna brings more than nine years of experience at the Akron Zoo, from Animal Keeper and Lead Animal Keeper for Hoofstock and Primates to her current role leading Health, Safety and Security.

Her unique blend of animal care experience and expertise in occupational health, safety and emergency management offers a fresh perspective that applies far beyond the zoo. 🦒➡️🏭
