Participation pays off for Portage County Safety Council members.
Thanks to a strong commitment to workplace safety and education, our members earned an incredible $107,380 in Ohio Workers’ Compensation rebates for Fiscal Year 2025. Members who successfully completed the program by attending 10 monthly safety luncheons earned an average rebate of more than $1,700 each.
Even more exciting, the highest potential rebate reached up to $5,000.
These savings are more than just numbers. They represent businesses investing in safer workplaces, stronger teams, and smarter operations. Through monthly safety training, networking opportunities, and valuable resources, participating companies gained knowledge that helps reduce accidents and control workers’ compensation costs.
The Ohio Safety Council program rewards employers who stay engaged and proactive about workplace safety. For Portage County businesses, membership continues to deliver real financial value alongside professional development and community connections.
